NTI Accident Assist

We know that having a truck or mobile plant and equipment accident can be a traumatic experience, and there are many things to organise at once. That's why NTI has developed NTI Accident Assist - a free service available to all NTI policyholders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If your clients' truck or mobile plant and equipment is involved in an accident, you can call NTI Accident Assist on 1800 684 669 (1800 NTI NOW) at any hour, day or night, and we can:

1. Ensure they receive medical assistance as needed at the time of the accident;
2. Arrange over-the-phone trauma counselling at the accident scene until help arrives;
3. Authorise an NTI Heavy Vehicle Recovery Operator to recover the vehicle, trailer or MPE using the latest skills and equipment to prevent further damage;
4. Oversee the load recovery and ensure the load recovery cost is fair;
5. Arrange clean-up of the accident scene; 
6. Relay urgent messages to their employer, suppliers or loved ones;
7. Arrange for the driver or operator to be transported back to base or temporary accommodation (policy limits apply);
8. Arrange post-incident counselling for your client, the driver or immediate family members;
9. Lodge the claim automatically (in most instances we won't require a claim form).
